“Adhesive fails and hooks break under moderate load…” I thought Command Adhesive hooks were a great idea. But after they fall off the wall a few times and the hooks that do stay up break, you go back to less expensive and more dependable methods.

These are Great
I wish these would have been created a long time ago. I have had them up in some locations for a couple years and they still holding strong. I put large wet towels on these as well as many other things and they just work well. I do clean the wall well before sticking them and no issues. Also when you remove they leave no marks on the wall. again i wish they would of had these a long time ago….more info

Quick and Convenient Hooks; A Bit Small for Some Situations
I am a college student and I needed a few extra hooks in my closet so I got the Command Utility Hooks. The greatest thing about these hooks is that they do not require drilling holes, and you can take them off fairly easily without damaging the surface. The hooks, however, can be a bit small depending on what they are used for.

I used them on the doors of my closet. It is made of the synthetic stuff that looks like wood and, since it was fairly new and the surface was smooth and clean, I did not need to clean it with rubbing alcohol. I just wiped it with wet paper towel and let it dry for a few minutes. You just apply the adhesive strip on the back of the hook and push hard onto the surface you need it to be on for 30 seconds. You have yourself a convenient hook! I bought these mainly to hang my ties and my towel, but I found that the hook is deep but not wide enough (it doesn’t stick out that much). I can barely hang my towel. I would say it would work very well with hanging objects by its string or stuff that is not very thick (picture frames, plastic bags, etc.)

Overall, if you need a quick and convenient hook that does not require drilling a hole in the wall, this is the one. You can also remove it without damaging the surface. However, while it holds up to 5 pounds, the hook may be a bit for some occasions….more info

A disaster!!
I followed the instructions. The hook held for 6 days and then the artwork fell to the floor, damaging the frame and breaking the glass. Goodness knows how much it is going to cost me to have it repaired….more info

not worth the plastic its made of!
Searching for some hooks to help organize a newly constructed pantry, I researched these. Understand, my DH has promised to install a permanent solution for me, but this has not been built yet and the brooms, mops, and other cleaning implements leaning in the way when I walked in the pantry were becoming annoying. We decided to try this, as he said, as a temporary solution. Well, we GOT temporary! Just had no idea how temporary it would be. I followed all of the directions to the letter and even went beyond. I pressed the hook against the clean wall for over a full minute instead of the suggested 30 seconds. I let the hooks sit for 6 hours instead on one hour before hanging anything on it. My mop pulled its hook off immediately. This was a simple sponge mop, not wet, but it was the heaviest of the three items. The Swiffer handle, very lightweight, held up overnight and about half a day. The dustmop, actually a bit heavier than the Swiffer, held on for about an hour longer. And the last hook, which was only holding up a plastic dustpan and a plastic dusting brush–incredibly lightweight–fell about 2 hours after that! This was installed on drywall with regular latex paint cleaned carefully with alcohol as directed! Maybe they work better on wood than drywall, but I will not be using them again! What a waste of money. Glad I did not have anything breakable hanging on them!…more info
