“Black and Decker 9.6 volt battery review” Truthfully, what’s there to review about a battery as long as it works. The good news is that the original battery lasted about 6 years and performed well. The bad news is that box stores are always willing to sell you the tool but there is no backup after the sale so try buying another battery a couple years later. So, Amazon.com here I come, and I got a good deal on it (a two pack this time) too. The new ones work just like the old one and now my drill, which is in near new shape, does not need to be trashed.

Battery was very good. I use it in a Black and Decker cordless drill. The previous battery was reconditioned and lasted about 5 years. Hope this one does as well, if not better. I would recommend this battery for those having lightweight projects where a cordless drill is needed. …more info

I recently purchased two PS120 9.6 volt Ni-Cad batteries for a drill. I donot use the drill on a daily basis so the batteries are not activated a lot. The batteries I got with the drill lasted about three years. Then for some reason they would not take a charge. The paper work I received with both sets of batteries did not indicate whether you could leave the battery on the charger when not in use. If I use the drill alot and battery goes down I will charge over night. It also would be nice if you got a charger with every battery….more info

With all the new higher voltage cordless tools, this battery pack is becoming difficult to find in retail stores. At this price (30% of MSRP), you can hardly go wrong. This is the high capacity pack, which is almost required for a NiCad battery in power tool applications. It will also work fine in the older 8.4V B&D drills, and the chargers are identical.

Don’t throw away that “old favorite” cordless tool, give it a new life. At this price, buy extras while you can get them….more info
