“NEW VERSION?” The amazon description stated “NEW VERSION” and showed a picture of the new model. They sent me the old one. I called them and they sent me a replacement which again was the old model. The manufactures site shows the new model, but the part numbers are the same for the new and old. That’s just confusing.

This one works! The CH Hanson 03040 STUD4SURE does exactly what it promises, and without the need of batteries. I am pretty clueless when it comes to home repair, but this one makes me clued-in. Thank you CH Hanson….more info

The last studfinder you will ever need
For me the most frustrating issue with an electronic studfinder is the inconsistency–if you try the same reading the second time, the result is just slightly off, ditto for the third time, the fourth and so on. No so with Stud-4-sure! If you move this stud-finding candy-bar ever so slightly over the right area, it will practically pull out of your hand and snap over the nail head, with 100% reproducibility. This gizmo does only one thing, and it does it very well. If you’re looking for flashing lights, pretty display, or secondary functions, this is not for you. But if you need something that does what it’s supposed to do–as well as or better than anything else–then you’ve just found it….more info

product is great – I opened the package and started trying it out on my kitchen walls and the garage. Finds everything and it sticks to the wall with its powerful magnets. Other reviewers mentioned that it also will located other “metallic” features such as wiring, etc, so be watchful for that. …more info
